Marketplace

The marketplace at Kirigakure consists mainly of stands that are set up daily by shopkeepers selling many different things. The area closer to the inner region of the village tends to consist of food stalls and benches, and others sell whatever potions and trinkets that may be available. Beware, thieves may be about, and not all prices are reasonable.

Shinobi Housing

Kirigakure is almost entirely inhabited by shinobi and villagers residing in their own residencies, or those who are renting. There are a few areas open to the public, similar to an inn, but little else in that category. Houses are usually wooden, and have large roofs.

Training Grounds

Kiri training grounds stand between the village and the nearby marshlands. It is mainly damp, grassy field, and tall trees surrounding it. Lake Inaetou is nearby, as well, and there is usually a thinner mist here than in other areas. There are sturdy, wooden posts, some of which that are beginning to rot from the constant moisture, that are situated evenly along the ground.

Mizukage Building

Also known as the Kiri Administration Building, the Mizukage Building is from where the Mizukage will conduct most duties. It is a slightly out-of-the-way structure that appears to be almost like a simple post-office building with multiple floors. The base floor is for shinobi missions, the second floor is for conferences and other business, and the third floor is reserved for the Mizukage and his or her desk.

Academy

Kirigakure's academy has long been much darker in comparison to other academies. Teachers are known to be much more strict, and quite bent on perfection and iciness. However, it has since changed its ways since its genin-to-chuunin graduation exercise was changed. The same strictness exists, but the killer intent that was so drilled into learning minds is no longer a part of the curriculum.

Koubi Forest

Koubi Forest borders Kirigakure on most sides that the water does not, and the evergreens are immensely tall. In the depths of this forest is the former cone-shaped structure that used to be the quarters of Momochi Zabuza, but is now deserted. It is unknown if anyone has taken up any residence there. Like any other forest, there are animals such as birds and coyotes.

Lake Inaetou

Lake Inaetou is the main lake of Kirigakure. Before the Great Naruto Bridge was built, this was only the way to cross from Konohagakure to the Wave Country. It has always been bordered with mangroves, and there is almost always a mist that settles over it and masks the arrival and escapes of various boats. On the shore, there is an ideal area to train, but it can become rather dark and lone shinobi are warned away.

Onsen

The Kiri hot springs tend to be a little less populated than most other areas. Since there is mist all over, constantly, however, it is difficult to keep the location from getting stuffy and suffocating, and the water warm. The building is situated near the residential area, and is circular in structure. Inside, the tubs are circular as well, and divided between men and women.
