Bijuu are, essentially, demons. They are extremely large, larger than a house, one might assume. There are 9 tailed beasts, or so they are called, and each has a different number of tails. They are known to have enormous amounts of chakra, but do not always possess the intelligence to harness that power.

It has been proven that Bijuu cannot be effectively sealed into anything other than a live human being by using a special seal. The hosts are known as Jinchuuriki, and are often shunned for their existences, and feared. They possess much stamina and strength, and often exhibit appearances that reflect those of their Bijuu. They may be even more powerful than the Bijuu itself, as the Jinchuuriki tend to be intelligent enough to use the power and chakra more effectively than the Bijuu might have.

The seals used to place a Bijuu into a Jinchuuriki may vary in strength, depending on their make and the user. When they are used before the host's birth, the Jinchuuriki is likely to be strongly affected by the Bijuu, and even hear voices. Jinchuuriki with the Bijuu sealed into them after birth are less likely to even know about or be affected by the Bijuu at all. This may be changed by extremely strong or distressing emotions or events, but it tends to happen gradually.

To apply and be accepted as a Jinchuuriki, you must have an outstanding application. You will be considered with more certainty if your position is actually discussed with an administrator beforehand. Otherwise, it is best to be accepted first. Even then, you may not receive a Bijuu right away. It will be based on what we as administrators see in you, and your roleplaying ability.

Ichibi no Shukaku, or Suna no Shukaku, is the one-tailed tanuki Bijuu, which is a racoon-dog found only in Japan and other Asian countries. His host was formerly Sabaku no Gaara, the previous Kazekage of Sunagakure. He was known to be a killer and was widely feared throughout the land. However, such stories have been slowly dying in their extremities.

Shukaku is said to be the corrupted spirit of a monk who was originally sealed into a teakettle before being sealed into his first host. The priest was from the Desert of Nara, and was transformed by Yamata no Orochi. He had two hosts before Gaara, and went through one other Jinchuuriki before finally being sealed into the current Kazekage – Outoumori Riya. His Jinchuuriki have black rings around their eyes, similar to those of a tanuki, and somewhat due to the insomnia that his hosts suffer from, as when they sleep, he eats away at their personalities.

He protects his host at all times with the Suna no Yoroi, which is, obviously, made of sand. It protects the Jinchuuriki no matter what, although extreme speed makes it possible to defeat. This is often called the "absolute defense."

The Jinchuuriki is capable of completely releasing the spirit of Shukaku.

Nibi no Nekomata is the two-tailed cat-like Bijuu. It is able to breath fire. It appears to be a cat covered in flames, and originates from Kumogakure, or Thunder Country, at least. It was formerly sealed into Yugito Nii, and was forcefully extracted by the Akatsuki. Its Jinchuuriki have slanted cat eyes

Isonade is the three-tailed, crustacean-like Kappa Bijuu. It resembles a giant turtle with a sharp horn on its forehead. It is very fast. It is not the most intelligent of beings, and it is more of a wild animal. It has control over water and the ocean currents. It has a bit of a subordinate, which is called the Samehada. Every few months, Isonade comes up to the ocean surface for air, taking in ships as food and causing storms and huge torrents and typhoons. Samehada absorbs the food from Isonade's stomach and then, after converting it to chakra, sends it back to the Sanbi, allowing Isonade access to a huge amount of chakra.

Sokou is the reptilian four-tailed Bijuu. Because of the toxic gas and volcanic ash from the volcano it lived on, it was transformed into a half-rooster, half-snake creature known as a cockatrice, without the wings. Its lower body is that of a snake, while its upper body is that of a rooster. It crawls on the ground, and is mainly orange in colour. It controls poisons, poisonous gases, and venom.

Houkou is the five-tailed, dog-like Bijuu. It is white-furred, and each of the tails represents one element: water, fire, earth, lightning, and wind. Used simultaneously, these tails can cause a giant earthquake. Houkou can create natural disasters and can combine the elements for devastating attacks.

Raijuu is the six-tailed, weasel-like Bijuu. It is golden-furred, has very sharp claws, and can roar with the sound of thunder. It can control any fire that is created by lightning, lightning, and thunder. It also has the ability to fly as a ball of lightning or fire.

Kaku is the seven-tailed, badger-like Bijuu. It is blue, and the smallest of all the Bijuu. It is very cunning and stealthy. It specializes in making the ground beneath an opponent crumble, while it is underground, so that the opponent will fall into its mouth. It can transform into anything, with the aid of clay. It is earth-based.

Yamata no Orochi is the eight-tailed snake Bijuu. It is dark brown in colour, and has eight heads and eight tails, and red eyes. Each of its heads represents something: soul, ghost, evil, devil, monstrous, kill, afterworld, and death. It had, in the past, been attacked by a sword known as the Kusanagi no Tsurugi, which it absorbed into its body to become much more powerful. Its Jinchuuriki have snake-like eyes.

Kyuubi

Kyuubi no Youko is the red-furred nine-tailed fox Bijuu, and the strongest and most intelligent of the nine. He seemingly has an unlimited amount of chakra and strength. His tails can create tornadoes by spinning and throw fireballs consecutively, as well as cause tsunamis and flatten mountains, and his claws are very large and sharp. He can speak well, too. He can be sadistic, yet fair and honourable, although much remains unknown about him. His Jinchuuriki have three whisker-like markings on both their cheeks.

His Jinchuuriki also has incredible stamina, rapid regeneration, and access to the Kyuubi's chakra, which appears red. They can, after much training, begin to transform a bit by forming tails out of chakra. The number of tails indicates the power level, and how much the Kyuubi's personality will be showing through. The aura around the Jinchuuriki will burn the host's skin and cause bleeding, and, with the accelerated healing, weakens and shortens the lifespan of the Jinchuuriki.
