Clans
There are many clans that you may join before you have been accepted, and some you can only join after it has been discussed with an administrator. Clans are, basically, groups of people with the same lineage, often sharing the same last name as well. Some also have Kekkei Genkai, or bloodline limits, that give the user extra skills ranging from copying techniques to inheriting special jutsu. Below is a list of the clans and which are available, and a brief history.

Kekkei Genkai and Abilities
Kekkei Genkai will be limited to handpicked members, to applicants with quality applications, and applicants who apply for uncapped and available limits. Below are the Kekkei Genkai available on NSP and a brief description of each. Remember that to inherit a limit, you must be part of the clan as well. Only on VERY exceptional circumstances may such a rule be overturned. Make sure that there is an open spot in the clan.

Concerning creating your own limits – it is allowed. However, you are not to apply with your new limit. Instead, you must submit all the information on your Kekkei Genkai beforehand in an application to the site, and include your email address(es) so that we may contact you to perhaps discuss the matter. If you wish to submit your character for quicker access, please submit your made-up limit FIRST, then your character’s application in a SEPARATE form. Then, even if your limit is not approved, your character may still be accepted, though you will be expected to remove the limit from your profile.

If you decide to submit only your limit first, wait until the information has been added to this page. It WILL be edited so that a brief version will be put here, and the rest will be in the private area. If you want to use a new limit, it WILL be open to other members and applicants, so be aware of the capabilities. There will also be a limit on what types of limits there will be – i.e. concerning eyes, such as the Sharingan and the Byakugan. These numbers will not include those mentioned in the original series. Maximum numbers are subject to change.

Note: Fractions indicate how many spots are taken. 0/5 means there will be allowed a maximum of 5 members of the clan, but no positions are taken. 3/7 means there will be allowed a maximum of 7 members but 3 positions are already taken.

The above rules for Kekkei Genkai apply to clans. Families are not considered the same as clans.

Aburame: 1/5
The Aburame clan is considered one of the most mysterious of Konohagakure, and certainly the creepiest, according to some. This is due to the contract that all Aburame clan members make with Kikaichuu. More information on Kikaichuu can be found in the next field.

They are considered mysterious mainly because of the lack of information and known history to outsiders, and Aburame have to date not revealed any of their secrets. All known clan members wear clothing with tall collars that reach up to past the nose, as well as black sunglasses or shades that hide their eyes. They tend to speak very little, but they do have their distinct personalities.

Kikaichuu
Familiar type
Kikaichuu, also known as destruction bugs, are small insects about a centimeter in length each. They are black in colour, and, despite their size, can be absolutely devastating in large numbers. At birth, Aburame clan members are infused with Kikaichuu, and each member creates a contract with these bugs. If the bugs are allowed to feed on the Aburame’s chakra source, the bugs will carry out the mental commands of their host.

Akimichi: 0/5
Not much is known about the history of the Akimichi clan. However, there are some characteristics of members that make them distinct. They are often much “weightier” than other people and may be considered “fat” or “chubby,” and they can be rather sensitive about that. There is often a marking of some kind of both or either cheeks, such as a stripe or a swirl. Members tend to be very kind and gentle, though will express their anger in great fury and power when necessary.

Body type
Members of the Akimichi clan are known for their ability to enlarge their bodies or a part of their bodies by converting the calories of what they eat into chakra to do so – thus eating can’t really be considered a habit so much as a need to sustain their powerful techniques. Their secret jutsu and builds cause them to be considered the physical powerhouses of Konohagakure.

Fuuma: 0/5
The Fuuma clan has since disintegrated since the war between the Gold and Silver countries and Orochimaru’s arrival. They had grown weak through the war, becoming quite low on numbers, and when Orochimaru arrived in the Rice Country to establish Otogakure, members were eager to volunteer to help in return for the restoration of the power of their clan. Some realized the way Orochimaru was using members, and some did not. Those who left Orochimaru because of this realization are often called traitors, but truly, they have simply opened their eyes a little wider.

Chakra no Ito 0/4
Body type
The abilities of the Fuuma clan are shrouded in a bit of mystery, but they seem to have a rather powerful control of their chakra. However, their signature technique, Chakra no Ito, is something they are rather famed for. It connects the user’s heart to his/her target’s heart with chakra strings that cannot be broken with brute force or blades of any kind – a special tag must be used. When either of the two (user or target) is killed, so is the other.

Hyuuga: 4/5
Hinata came to power of the clan, but after her death, as well as Neji’s, Hiko, the girl taking over Neji’s position, opposed the election of Hikari for clan leader, claiming that she deserved the position. Hiko manipulated others to do her bidding, in which Hikari was eventually assassinated and Hiko claimed the head position through all her schemes, none of which are clear to anyone but her. Ten years ago, Hiko died and her son, Rei, came to power. Hyaku, the sister of Hikari, plans to bump Rei off somehow with the help of her daughter, Byaku. Chiyoko, a direct descendent of Neji, though disagreeing with Rei’s methods, refuses to help anyone from the Main Branch family. Through these occurrences, the Hyuuga clan is divided.

Byakugan
Eye type
The Byakugan is also known as the Evil Eye. Users have pupil-less, white eyes. They can activate the Byakugan at will by performing a single seal. The Byakugan allows the user to see through substances at will, and even the tenketsu of their opponents, to increase or decrease the flow of chakra with a single touch. This type of fighting is called the Juuken style, or Gentle Fist. Advanced users of the Byakugan also have almost 360 degree vision.

Inuzuka: 1/5
Little is known of the history of the Inuzuka clan. However, they are known for each having a canine familiar who acts as a friend and tool. They tend to appear rather canine-like themselves, and have two red designs on their cheeks, one on each cheek. Their pupils are slits, and their senses are heightened to those of a wolf, and are very strong. They can also understand canines without flaw.

Canine familiars in the Inuzuka clan are very intelligent and grow up to about a meter or more in height at the shoulder. They appear to be regular dogs and wolves, and vary greatly in appearances and personalities. They can often perform jutsu in conjunction with their partners.

Kaguya: 2/5
The Kaguya clan was wiped out many, many years ago when they attacked Kirigakure, trying to overtake it with brute strength. However, even with their “special weapon,” Kaguya Kimimaro, they were killed off. Kimimaro was eventually taken into Orochimaru’s “care,” in line to become the sannin’s next perfect “container.” That didn’t happen, however, as Kimimaro had an illness that would eventually kill him. However, not all of the Kaguya clan was destroyed. There were some who stayed behind, despite orders, and they may be considered traitors, but they kept the clan alive. Their numbers are few, but have grown to a decent amount in the last years.

Shikotsu Myaku
Body type
Members of the Kaguya clan have the ability to manipulate their bones and bone structure. They can actually pull their bones out of their bodies to use as weapons, and can control the densities of the bones to make the bones as hard or harder than steel. Bones can be controlled to thrust out through the skin spontaneously and instantly, and be sucked inside just as easily.

Kamizuru: 0/5
The Kamizuru is a bug-using clan originating from Iwagakure. It used to be on about equal level with the Konohagakure’s Aburame clan in fame around the time of the first and second Hokage. Shinobi from Iwagakure were led by the battle tactics of the Kamizuru clan to invade Konoha, bringing their bees to attack. However, the Aburame clan countered with their own bugs, actually waiting for the assault, and won the battle. Many lives were lost, but the Kamizuru clan also lost their status within Iwagakure.

Bee Manipulation
Familiar type
Members of the Kamizuru clan are, generally, insect users, but they depend largely on bees. They can summon many small bees, some of which may or may not be poisonous, and order them to fire stingers and such at targets. Some may even explode with honey, trapping the opponent.

Kono: 1/5
The Kono clan is a clan native to the Iwagakure area, and currently resides there since its previous territory in a small village outside Iwa was destroyed in a large skirmish in which the clan had no part. This happened 17 years ago. The Kono clan system is generally run as an individual community within its present occupied area.

Gokan
Body type
Gokan, meaning "Five Senses," is a bloodline limit that allows the user to use various methods to enhance or impair any of the five senses of their own bodies, or of others' – an art known as Shingai no Dageki. This requires a fair bit of skill in chakra control. The use of this Kekkei Genkai may negatively affect the eyes.

Kamurasaki: 1/5
All the people of the Kamurasaki clan have taken up different last names than Kamurasaki due to the clan’s history. This concerns the time when the clan was notorious, under the rule of Kamurasaki Hitota, for massacring many small villages near Kirigakure. Initially, the clan was led by Kamurasaki Kane, the eldest brother of two siblings – second-oldest sister, Sasata, and youngest brother, Hitota.

Five years into Kane’s years inheritance of power, war broke out and Kane was forced into battle. He was killed after the first year and Sasata came to take his place. She ordered a retreat, but before that could be carried out, she was assassinated in her sleep by an unnamed shinobi. Hitota rose and cancelled the order to retreat. Instead, he literally blackmailed every Kamurasaki into completely decimating the villages involved in the war. This quickly earned the Kamurasaki clan a very bad and violent name.

Because of Hitota, and his rule of more than 10 years, the Kamurasaki clan is shunned for its violence and remains avoided. It grew to be nearly forgotten, but mention of them brings back horrible memories. Hitota was constantly under attack and eventually died mysteriously in his sleep, after many, many failed attempts at assassination. It is unknown who the killer was.

For these reasons, and because the clan was seen as a whole, not as a body led by a single head, all Kamurasaki members mask their family name. However, those in an immediate family within the clan often share the same name.

Kantsuugan
Eye type
Kantsuugan users have two different-coloured eyes. The right eye is always a violent, deep purple. This eye is what is used to identify Kamurasaki, so shinobi often find ways to hide it. It allows the user to see through any immediate substance, within a 10-centimetre radius around the right eye, including the eyelid. Because of this ability, users can easily penetrate a blindfold. However, in the case of attempting to avoid watching a horrific scene from which one can not turn away, this eye forces the user to watch. It also enables enhanced night vision.

The left eye is normally-coloured, and will be a natural hue, such as brown or blue. This enables the user to have enhanced day vision.

When using both eyes, in which the right eye is exposed to the air, a Kantsuugan user can perform a ‘secret’ seal in which s/he uses both hands, each in separate sequences, at the same time. This unleashes a devastating attack that corresponds with the user’s alignment. However, it takes much time to understand how to use it, and it will be assigned to you by an administrator. After using this technique, there will be excruciating pain in the right eye.

Meijin: 1/5
The Meijin clan is native to Kumogakure and are considered a spiritual people. Trained from birth to respect the earth, the sky, and the soul, they are normally able to communicate with the spirit realm, and act as mediums. Their compound was left in tatters two years ago when one youth took out everyone in his path.

Shi no Inochi
Jutsu type
Those who are born with the ability to tap into their Kekkei Genkai are born premature, and it is a desperate struggle to hold onto a life that will hold little more than intensive training. Their ability is characterized physically by their constantly shifting iris hues. In the end, those with the Shi no Inochi are able to summon the dead - to an extent.

Nara: 0/5
The Nara clan is very well known for its usage of shadows. Members are able to control their shadows, stretching and dividing them to aid them in jutsu that can be used both defensively and offensively. They tend to be quite the intellectuals, thinking deeply and not always the hardest workers. However, they make up for that with their determination and loyalty.

Nara clan members can stretch and divide their shadows. If they manage to connect their shadows to their opponents’, they can control the target’s movements for a set period of time, although this hold can be broken through incredible strength. They can even split off hand-shaped shadows that can suffocate the targets while the targets are immobilized.

Uchiha: 3/5
Uchiha Sasuke managed to kill Uchiha Itachi, and returned to Konohagakure as the Uchiha clan’s leader. He ruled for 27 years, and had 12 children, all of which were born with the Sharingan, though only 8 managed to make use of it. He was killed by his oldest children, the two twins with the strongest Sharingan – Kazumi and Kazuhiro. They killed siblings for the Mangekyou Sharingan, but only ruled for 16 years before they were assassinated. Before then, they had an incestuous relationship in which Kobayashi was the result. Kobayashi ruled for 60 years after killing his parents, before he died. Now, his 22-year-old daughter, Aya, rules.

Eye type
There are many variations of the Sharingan, and some are much more difficult to achieve than others. There is much mystery surrounding its advanced levels. It is known that the Sharingan allows the user to copy other jutsu perfectly and almost instantaneously, and execute them, though only within the limits of the user. It can also see through genjutsu, and give the user a better understanding of any ninjutsu.

Yamanaka: 1/5
Yamanaka clan members are known for their manipulative minds and mind manipulating jutsu. They are quite the average people, but their techniques make them difficult to handle at times. They often have strong personalities and determination.

Jutsu type
Clan members are capable of possessing other people with Shintenshin no Jutsu, sending their mind force, though slowly, through the air into a target’s head to take over. It can be held for as long as desired, or until the chakra reserve is depleted, but any harm done to the target’s body will affect the user’s body. Advanced techniques allow Yamanaka members to disrupt a person’s logic, causing their targets to become confused and even start to attack comrades. It is only in effect as long as a certain hand seal is held.
